Absolutely fantastic! Two fearsome predators dueling to the death. One an ancient beast, reaching the pinnacle of its evolution. Another even more intelligent and deadly, a recent freak of evolution.
I have no doubt, Wolverine will not even blink an eye before dealing the fatal blow to his adversary here. But I have a question. If the Shark does prove to be lucky to get the first bite, can the Wolverine regrow his limb if it chomped off by this deadly phantom of the deep?
This reminds me of the scenes I wrote for my Wolverine and the Xmen fanfic: my OC Alenka had been attacked by a shark, and Logan made a comment that if he ever found it he'd kill it. In a way, disturbing how aggressive he can get when protective. The other, he's very sweet when he's protective over her. Still,I'd hate to be the shark that attacked her and just ran across Logan.
It's not supposed to look like Wolverine is slaughtering an innocent animal. The Shark is portrayed as an equivalent individual. The two of them are doing battle. The reason is not presented so that the viewer can imagine one. The Shark has just as much chance of winning the battle as Wolverine does. It's meant to look like an even match. I guess it's not clear though, since a few people have complained about this.
It's fine actually, of course the shark could win. I guess since it's above water, then it's all Wolverine's territory (and he has his claws in the shark's mouth.) While the shark would have the upperhand below sealevel. And the shark is the only one with scars. Would be kinda cool if Wolverine had some bitemarks
